Ben Meijs is an experienced lawyer with empathy and a sharp, analytical mind. He works conscientiously, energetically, and enthusiastically towards the set goals, in a results-oriented manner. Ben has been with our firm since 1983. He has earned his reputation as a lawyer, insolvency practitioner and administrator, specialising in corporate law and insolvency law. He also has extensive experience as an editor of complex contracts and as an advisor in contract negotiations in the field of mergers and acquisitions. His work ranges widely, from international matters with a cross-border dimension to supporting family businesses. Ben is also a trusted adviser for shareholders, management, and supervisory directors.
With a view to his work as an insolvency practitioner, he completed the Grotius programme in insolvency law (cum laude) and the follow-up course in financial economics for insolvency practitioners. He has been a member of the Dutch Association of Insolvency Practitioners (Insolad) since 1996. He has a good knowledge of English and German (written and spoken).
